Knowledge is free

[This is the note of reverence and gratitude to all our teacher-trainers at DRR School Davanagere. Originally composed by my dearest friends Late. Gauri and Rekha]

Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken into fragments
By narrow domestic walls.
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Into that heaven of freedom my father
Let my country awake.

Dear Sirs/Madams,
Our forty day sprint in your school has been a wonderful experience for us. We stepped into the shores of teaching from the sands of learning. Little did we realize that the shore and the sand were all but one. We entered as novices to the darkened arena, but luckily for us we found the best leading lights in you which led us more smoothly than we ever imagined to the centrestage.

Our ascent from the nadir of uncertainty to the pinnacle of confidence and success was along the cheerful paths of your school. The culmination of our endeavour was the love and ready acceptance of the students. The paths that we tread along together and the enduring journey remains imprinted in our hearts and we always have the footprints in the sands of time to look back to.

The act has ended, but the show goes on forever.... for
The woods are lovely; dark and deep
But I have promises to keep
And miles to go before I sleep
And miles to go before I sleep.

Cherishing the memories of your love and companionship into eternity....
Yours truly..
The students of Internship Batch of 1994-98 B.A.Ed and B.Sc.Ed from RIE Mysore that underwent training at DRR School, Davanagere.
